Terms of Use

Effective 15 August 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Setout for this website and our mobile apps. By using them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use them. An individual app may add its own terms; where they conflict, the app's terms win for that app.

Your account

Where an app has accounts, you must give accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to form a contract where you live, and at least 13. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully.

Acceptable use

Do not use our products to break the law or infringe anyone's rights; to upload malware; to harass, threaten, or abuse people; to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our services; to resell access; or to get around technical limits and security controls.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you create in our apps. You grant us only the permission we need to store, back up, sync, and display that content to you so the product works. We do not use your content to advertise to you or sell it. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

Our content

The apps, this site, and their software, design, and branding belong to Setout or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them as intended. Nothing else is granted.

Purchases and subscriptions

Paid features are sold through the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you cancel through the store account that bought them, not by deleting your account or the app. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Prices and features can change; changes to a recurring price take effect only after notice and never mid-term without your consent where the store requires it.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of a product, and we may update these terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the products after a change means you accept it. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

Disclaimer and liability

The products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for lost data or profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using the products at any time and delete your account. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability, survive.

Apple and Google

Where you get an app from the App Store or Google Play, that store is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or for support, and the store's own terms also apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as to apps obtained from the App Store.

General

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business. These terms are the entire agreement between us about the products.
