Easy QR & Barcode Generator: Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Setout Labs LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we"), for the iPhone app Easy QR & Barcode Generator. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age where you live to consent to online services, to use the app. The app is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add to it.

What Easy QR is

Easy QR makes static QR codes and UPC-A, EAN-13 and Code 128 barcodes on your iPhone, and scans codes. A static code holds its content directly, so it keeps working without the app or our servers and we cannot change or switch it off.

Before an export, Easy QR test-scans the code on your iPhone. That check makes a bad code much less likely but cannot promise that every scanner, printer, material or print size will read it. Test a printed code before you print many copies.

You are responsible for what you put in your codes and for the barcode numbers you use. Easy QR adds or checks the check digit, but it does not issue numbers: products sold in stores usually need numbers licensed from GS1.

Free features and Easy QR Pro

Making, saving, scanning and exporting plain QR codes and barcodes never needs Easy QR Pro, in every format (PNG, SVG and PDF) and size. Easy QR Pro is needed to export or share codes with a logo, colors, dot and corner shapes, a frame and caption, a photo background or a style template; you can try styles before you buy. The yearly plan can start with a 3-day free trial if you are eligible. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. With the reminder on and notifications allowed, Easy QR reminds you two days before the charge.

Easy QR Pro is sold through the App Store as a yearly subscription, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the app and by Apple before you confirm.

  • Yearly and monthly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal.
  • To manage or cancel a subscription, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • The lifetime option is a single payment and does not renew.
  • Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • If you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore purchases in Settings, or Restore on the upgrade screen.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law or infringe anyone's rights, reverse engineer it, or get around its technical limits or security.

Our content

The app and its software, design and branding belong to Setout Labs LLC or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it as intended. Nothing else is granted.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the app, and we may update these terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so parts may not apply to you.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing here limits consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived by contract.

General

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business.
