Click: Terms of Use
Last updated 2 November 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and Setout Labs LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we"), for the iPhone and Android app Click: Universal TV Remote. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age where you live to consent to online services, to use the app. If you got the app from the App Store, it is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add to it.
What Click is
Click is a remote control for smart TVs on your Wi-Fi. It talks to each TV through the local network interface its manufacturer provides. A TV software update can change or stop that interface, and some TVs don't offer every button, so we can't promise that every feature works with every TV or keeps working. Click does not work with Apple TV, Hisense VIDAA or TVs without a network connection.
Setout Labs is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any TV maker or platform. TV and platform names only describe compatibility and belong to their owners.
Free features and Click Pro
Finding, pairing, saving and managing TVs, Customize, the lost-remote guide and Settings never need Click Pro. Your first session includes the whole remote, the keyboard and your TV's apps. It starts when a TV first answers and ends when you close Click or leave it in the background for more than 30 minutes; after that, the remote, widgets, Control Center controls and Siri on iPhone, and the home-screen widget and Quick Settings tile on Android, need Click Pro. The yearly plan can start with a free trial if you are eligible: 3 days on iPhone, and on Android the length Google Play shows before you confirm. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Click Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play as a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the app and by Apple or Google before you confirm.
- Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple ID or Google account is charged for the renewal.
- To manage or cancel a subscription on iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- The lifetime option is a single payment and does not renew.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or for a Google Play purchase from Google in your Google Play order history.
- If you reinstall the app or get a new phone, sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account and tap Restore purchases in Settings, or Restore on the upgrade screen.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law or infringe anyone's rights, reverse engineer it, or get around its technical limits or security.
Our content
The app and its software, design and branding belong to Setout Labs LLC or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it as intended. Nothing else is granted.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the app, and we may update these terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so parts may not apply to you.
Apple and Google
Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or its support. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing here limits consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived by contract.
General
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business.
