If you are in crisis, don't wait for email. Call your local crisis line: 988 in the US and Canada, 116 123 in the UK and Ireland, 13 11 14 in Australia or 1737 in New Zealand. Anywhere else, findahelpline.com lists lines by country. Backdrop also lists these under Settings → Crisis resources.
Play night sound
Tap Play on the Night sound screen. Sound keeps playing with the screen off. Set the Sleep timer to 30, 60 or 90 minutes, or leave it Off.
Match your pitch
Tap Match your pitch, or Redo match to change it. Use headphones and keep the volume low. Play both tones, pick the one closer to your ringing, and repeat for a few rounds, then match how loud it is. Close enough is fine. Backdrop then shapes the night sound around your match. It does not use the microphone.
SOS for a spike
Open SOS from the navigation bar or from Settings for breathing and a reset. SOS is always free.
Reminders
In Settings, turn on Practice reminder, Weekly check-in or New module alerts. If reminders don't arrive, allow notifications for Backdrop in iPhone Settings → Notifications.
What is free and what is paid
Masking, pitch match, SOS and week 1 of the 8-week program stay free. Weeks 2–8 are a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription: one payment unlocks them for good. The price is shown in the app before you buy, and Apple charges your Apple ID. If the price can't load, everything free still works.
Restore the program on a new iPhone
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Settings → 8-week program → Unlock weeks 2–8, and tap Restore. You don't need an account. If a purchase is waiting for approval, such as Ask to Buy, the program unlocks once it clears.
Refunds
Apple processes all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Export or erase your data
Settings → Export my data shares a file of your matched settings, check-in history and practice log. Settings → Erase all data removes your matched pitch, check-ins, practice log and program progress from this iPhone and its iCloud copy of your match, then starts setup again. It cannot be undone. A program purchase stays with your Apple ID.
